At first a bit confusing with several retro takes, but well worth to stay put and keep watching. Brilliant acting by both leads.

Entertaining, profanity-laced, over-the-top action movie with quite some funny aspects to it. Normally not really my cup of tea, but Statham is well cast and with a grungy unshaven look fits the part perfectly. The film comes across as half a cartoon, video game and may draw some inspiration from Asian action flicks or from an Italian Spaghetti Western.

A not-so-subtle gory feast of too much raw fish and even more dead bodies. Everybody overeats, the stomach aches at the end, there are no winners in this overindulging, rather bloody contest. What is mostly a slow burner transforms into operatic staging and crescendos with more than one bang. Even though there is a romantic Romeo and Juliet subplot in this crime story, this is definitely not a date movie.

We are in the future and Gumps are military robots fighting for both sides of this script-wise terrible war movie. "Outside The Wire" must have been written by Fumps -- Film script robots delivering not much more than a yawn. Good guy needs to save the world, bad guy wants to destroy it with nukes to save "it" or at least the "future of it". The countdown is "halted and extended" several times with useless, wooden dialogue. The acting can't help save the movie (or the world for that matter) either, both main protagonists seem rather wooden, Pinocchio has more emotions. As it is mano-a-mano, I could well be a Bond franchise, where the CGI and special effects rule and basically are the only highlights. While Bond movies have a similar structure, the humor and over the top technology make them at least good entertainment. Don't search for that and/or humor in this loud romp, half an action movie, half appealing to social consciousness and not delivering on either side. How much collateral is feasible, 2 out 40, a million out of millions and millions? Will it go poof or can the clock be stopped? If you have something else on your list to watch, go ahead - there is always another day to step "Outside The Wire."

Not bad, but not great. I miss Arsene Lupin's "gentlemen's magic" when it comes to the script, which drags rather mediocre and predictable through the whole series. As some of the Parisian streets have potholes, the script has some terrible plot holes. What I hoped would be more of an intellectually challenging series comes more across as an overlong "Hallmark" movie but Paris (or France) as the major location will appeal to many US-Americans, who love to go see the City Of Lights. I did like Omar Sy and his many personalities in the movie, definitely a strong point of the series. But that said, some of the other roles are just stale, Claire doesn't seem to have any "real" emotions, his buddy from school, who now owns the antique shop could have had his personality way more eccentric. After five episodes we are left with a "cliffhanger" but you already know how it will end.

While the show has some interesting plotlines, the parts just don't add up to a whole and rather leave a mess. The pilot was actually promising, young, intelligent Ginny taking on her semi-racist teacher and putting him into place about his choices what will be read in AP English class. But from there it goes downhill faster than a skier at the Olympics and unfortunately loses its focus and becomes a sleepover fest for overacting teenagers in love. It finally leaves you bored, the drama becoming stupid and the funny lines being rarer than a spotted owl in the woods. It's a waste of time and becomes so annoying that I did not finish the whole season. P.S. And no, I don't care about the Taylor line - I'm not from Swiftstan - that one-liner even though misogynistic - comes with the price of being a celebrity. Do I think it's funny, no - is it necessary, no. But does it fit the show, yes - because some of the writing for this show is stuck somewhere in a high school bathroom.

If you like souped-up car chases through French Riviera towns, some explosions, mostly mano-a-mano fights, and a lot of blood either flowing or drying up, then the Lost Bullet is the perfect entertainment for you. The movie doesn't really have any depth, than the regular Good-vs-Evil scenario. Spoiler: Warning - there may be another lost bullet (sequel) coming up, as the bad guy is able to able to walk away. We can't have that, the good guy needs to get him... get it?

The first season is definitely better than the follow-up, even though season one seems to have been extended to ten episodes, instead of what you could have done in either eight or nine episodes. For easy entertainment, but it lacks some of the spunk and punches other European TV series over in the crime TV series. But don't expect anything too deep, the ruthless cop who needs to win at any prize could have had a bit more of a character development trying to showcase how he switches to be unlawful to get the "bad guys" arrested.

Even though half-fictional, the movie transcends a real-life reality and is a beautiful reminder to us all, what life and its opportunities but also its shortcomings are all about. The acting (or better non-acting, I wasn't aware of non-actors till the movie was over) was so comprehensible that it is almost unbelievable. And while it is a "Western" movie about rodeo-ing, the message isn't primarily about riding saddle broncs. The Rider is a metaphor for all of us on how we manage life, may it be success, or how we deal with setbacks, and how in the end we all ride into the sunset of our lives. But the most important thing is to take our successes in little steps and may they only be 8 seconds long.

Grade A actors in a B (or is it a C) thriller movie. The acting is mostly flat, besides Fletcher's emoted villain. Even though the main plot idea is quite interesting, the subplots seem to be disengaged and rather leave a mess. There is some beautiful cinematography, but overall can't save this movie from failing. Editing- and especially audio-wise, the movie is quite torture and demands to watch it at a very loud level to then turn it down for some of the action scenes. This is a movie you may wanna watch late at night when you can't find anything else.
