Not only it's the worst film I've seen in years - the most boring, non-factual and with appalling acting, but also it's shocking to learn that Netflix now makes films on orders from dictatorship states.
"With support of Ministry of culture of Russian federation" - they don't even hide it. After HBO' series came out, Russia's government were displeased and openly announced they would make their own version.
While HBO shows realistic picture of life in USSR, it's people and all the facts of the tragedy, this film depicts a fake idealised version of Soviet life preferred by Russian rulers while avoiding any analysis of the disaster itself.
Shame on Netflix.
