A lesson on how to kill a film franchise. Opening looked promising but led to a confused storyline. Daniel Craig was wooden and seemed like he didn’t care. References to other Bond film were frankly embarrassing. Loads of respect for Daniel Craig, he has made his mark on Bond but not this one, it feels like he was out to destroy it (and being a producer). I don’t often write reviews on anything, only when I have a huge wash of disappointment.
Sometimes it’s good to continue a tradition, Bond is one of these moments,”. I understand things need to move on but this film has destroyed the franchise and leaves you empty. Bond has always been fantastical escapism, in previous Daniel Craig Bond movies he’s managed to do this and move it on through injecting more realism and sensitivity. End of an era bringing an abrupt timeline to Bond which has never existed. Trying to look at it away from the Bond franchise, it’s a genuinely poor film. Let’s hope someone buys the rights to Bond and ignores this mistake.
Those who are involved in Bond films should have a duty to be custodians of the franchise, never expected this.
