Pretty good but suffocating. Needs more outdoor scenes. Big spoiler alert ending. But the Vatican deserves this film. Payback for abuse over centuries by corrupt clergy and nuns. I recommend this to anyone kicked out by CC folks. I see many Oscar noms all around.

No mention of the AIDS crisis of the 1980s. Not even the AIDS death of closeted Hollywood longtime Reagan friend Rock Hudson. Also poor editing; cutting back and forth from a gorgeous male Russian government agent ready to pounce on a former agent played by Jon Voight. Still great performances by all. Don't miss this polibiopic! Ronnie Jr. and his balletic atheism swept under the rug, too. Most of daddy' kids get little to no mention. In any case, Oscar awaits Dennis Quaid and maybe his actress Co-star, who plays big head /gigantic cranium, Nancy. Take 2 handkies for the long end credits songs.

Loved it. Can't recall the last time a movie made me cry. Go see it. Maggie Smith is wondrous. The entire film is a visual feast.

Violent, gruesome, brooding. Alessadro Novelo should get nominated for best actor. Gandolfini Jr. doesn't show up until half way into the movie. I give it 2.5 stars out of 4.

It is very Indiana Jonesish. Not at all for children under 12. One scene reminded me of the Wookies and their forest in the third Star Wars film. The plot gives new meaning to "falling in love with an older man." Really old.
