Fantastic style of writing! Very lyrical, the author plays with words and their sounds to deliver great poetry-prose. Certain sequences are very imaginative (like the scene with all the partition writers coming together at Wagah border), and certain chapters are filled with intelligent metaphors that can be cherished for long.
Only thing I felt is the novel is too long (725 pages). It's a struggle to read, esp. with our short attention spans. Also, the plot scatters a lot into multiple threads and weaves that take a long time to be tied together.
Nevertheless, proud that a Hindi novel has won so many accolades and awards globally. Definitely worth a read.
