What a stupid film, guys. There is no plot at all, and the only stupid plot begins at the second half, which is also stupid. There seems to be no reason to care about the lead character of Amala Paul as she is, from the start, an annoying idiot who thinks she is doing something great by doing terrible things. I guess the director had nothing much to tell and made it a story about pranks. Yes, guys, the central message is about pranks and how people with no common sense can be affected by it. Like, there are so many important messages and all the director has to say is about pranks?!!! It's not about characters at all. Trust me, friends, not even one character is intelligent, when they could do many things to get out. One would expect some responsibility by the side of the filmmaker to portray something sensible, but it seems it was HIS twisted version of how to put a woman in her 'place', by seeming to teach a lesson by stripping her of her clothes and isolating her, by making her do not much, and that she should be decent, otherwise, people will come to get her. Like, the scene where we are first introduced to the nude Kamini, it's portrayed as if it's something peaceful, like a relief. Not for Kamini, but for the director, I'm sure. You can notice the creative choices and what it means. So dumb. One would wonder why a movie like this would be made because there is no purpose for why the story exists and its idiotic characters. I personally expected a story of liberation and craziness from this movie, or at least some sensible plot or message...but I felt like an idiot while watching this and wondering why I am even here, just like Kamini. Technically, it's fine...nothing stands out. Mediocre acting, mediocre cinematography and sound design. Good thing, there are no unnecessary songs. Maybe, you can watch once and come to a conclusion. I say Arrogant, Annoying, Atrocious. GIVE IT A PASS.
And on another note: I think this is what happens when you don't make films with honesty. The lack of something worthy to tell is the reason this film left me confused and to hate it. Not that I wanted anything worthy, but it's not even that enjoyable or something. Just a headache as I was waiting for when it will be over, and my money is wasted.
