The reality of this movie is breathtakingly horrifying. Being based on a true story makes it all the more terrifying. The monsters in this movie are young pre teen boys and a middle aged woman.
The woman is filled with rage and hate for young females caused by years of abuse and neglect from men in her life who replaced her with younger women or just used her and threw her away like trash. The molten Poisen inside her is generously shared with her sons in a flood of engulfing normality in the horrific things they do to Meg without even a thought of it being wrong. any neighborhood boy (or girl) that can be seduced into this dark place was lured with beer, cigarettes and “the game”.
Misogyny steeped in sadism turned into daily acts with not remorse or guilt or second thought.
The movie will touch a chord in your heart and you will feel Meg’s pain and confusion.
A well done movie that brings you into real acts that happened in 1958.
