This was a decent road movie . It did have it’s flaws Turner-Smith though a stunning looking woman was pretty wooden , it seems harsh as she was opposite a more experienced Daniel Kaluuya . Still I was expecting a lot worse due to it’s mixed reviews. If they could have taken it’s time on the plot and slow it down a touch to have time for it’s characters to develop, (At times It felt a little rushed ). Then this film could have turned out a lot better . (Yes it is 2 hours long just saying).lLoved Bokeem Woodbine as Turner-Smith’s pimped out uncle. All in all it is worth the watch.

The film took too long in getting it’s message across. The performances Phoenix and De Niro were good But Phoenix in particular looked forced at times and it would have helped the film If jokers condition and the supposed relationship between his mother and Bruce Wayne was explained at the beginning of the film. Personally I prefer the late Heath Ledgers performance as it was naturally darker without him carrying the whole film .
