I’ve read all but the Bolton books on Trump and this was by far the best. Most of the other books had only a few worthy highlights which were made public by the media even before those books were published. Mary Trump’s book could easily have been summed up in thirty pages, although it did paint a graphic picture of a man truly obsessed with himself and out of touch with reality. On the other hand, Cohen had one of the best seats in the house, so to speak, to bear first hand witness to the immoral and illegal acts of a man who made it to the White House by following a course of pure deception. Cohen outlines in detail many of these deceptions and immoral acts and how he would move heaven and earth to cover for Trump. His job was that of Trump’s “fixer”. Cohen notes early in the book that he admittedly became a true scumbag in his service to and worship of Trump. He referred to Trump’s aids as enablers and to his many followers as those who have become drunk from the Trump Koolaid. But perhaps most disturbing are two of Cohen’s conclusions that (1) Trump is both mentally and emotionally incapable of carrying out the responsibilities of the Presidency and, (2) his only real interest in the Presidency is that it has enabled him to increase his personal coffers at the expense of the country. Cohen further lays waste to Trump’s claims of being a great businessman, and he outlines the bankruptcies and poor business judgement that seemed to be his trademark....of course along with stiffing almost anyone he did business with. Kudos to Cohen for unmasking this crook for what he really is.
