Disappointing. Living in the very diverse SF Bay Area, the predominantly white crowd was very distracting. I agree with almost all of the criticisms. I'm not clear on what the film makers mission was in developing this. Given that it is 2020 and that there is a Girls State, why wasn't it included? There were two inspiring characters. Some of the attendees had already, at such a young age, become morally corrupt. Politics has never been a squeeky clean endeavor, but I really wonder if earlier (pre-Trump) Boys State "emerging leaders" were more deserving of respect.
