I cannot believe they published a movie this bad. It's as if the creators read an online summary instead of actually reading the book. They completely made up their own story, loosely fitting it around selected scenes they wanted to incorporate. The result is a plot that makes no sense and is completely unlike anything Eoin Colfer would write. All Disney had to do was take the best-selling story from the first book and adapt it for a movie. The sad effect of this film is that it will turn kids away from reading the Artemis Fowl books (because the movie is just that bad). Even worse, the movie contains spoilers for books later in the series. These books were a huge part of my childhood, and it angers and saddens me to see that the series will be ruined for the generation of kids that watch this.
