Very very very rushed version of the novels, a decent standalone series though. I just wish they wouldn't try to fit things in partly. For example the ogiers in the books r known for being very slow moving slow speaking people, to the point where it is annoying. They slip a few random jokes about this in the show, but don't have the history to back it up so it's just bad lines. Hopefully the high viewership will make them skow down a bit
