I remember watching goosebumps when I was about 8 years old with my siblings. Let me tell you, I never appreciated the show or the books and for that I'm fairly disappointed in myself. But looking back at it and watching the series again made me realize something.
It's not about how brave you are. It's not about the cheesy dialogue or the acting. It's about the story.
Take this for example.
Do any of you remember Horror Land? I do. And when I was 8 I was always like, 'well that wasn't scary'. Though I only said that because of my young mind not understanding that the story line was actually terrifying.
Can y'all imagine if real monsters in Horror Land was real?
That's what I'm trying to say here.
Goosebumps was a part of my childhood and I didn't appreciate that. And for that, I'm sorry. I never realized how great this show was.
