This Argentinean horror movie is well worth it for aficionados. You know the film means business when within the first ten minutes, there's a frightening scene worthy of James Wan's Conjuring Universe. Plenty of nightmare inducing scenes (the boy at the kitchen table...shiver...), will linger after the movie's over. Solid performances, especially by the older paranormal investigators make this a very creepy choice for your Halloween lineup! In Spanish with English subtitles.

This movie hit a little too close to home...like one of Twilight Zone's horror episodes. What makes it unsettling is that it's symbolic themes unintentionally parallel the pandemic in so many ways. (Not being able to truly leave the house and be free) It can also be viewed as a allegory of going through the motions of life, and not really living. Eisenberg and Poots give subtle performances as people who have no real control over their lives. Eerie science fiction/horror, hybrid, and some may even view it as a very dark comedy at times...although I didn't find it funny; rather, I wanted to make sure the outside world was still there after it was over.

The Mandalorian is simply one of the best Star Wars stories of ANY of the movies. Tremendous production and art design. Special effects are top notch. Great action, well written, and there's a lot of heart, too. I admit, I went into watching it slightly skeptical, thinking it'll have that "made for TV" quality...but episode after episode it became clear that this is a very worthy entry into the Star Wars world. Outstanding.
