Great film, but strayed a bit farther than I would have liked from the source material. Ewan McGregor turns in an amazing performance as an adut Danny Torrance, tormented by his memories of The Overlook. The return to the Hotel was a plot point unique to the movie and hit some great nostalgia points, recreating some of the iconic scenes in Kubrick's film. This was a loving hybrid of King's writing and Kubrick's original film. Very much enjoyed it, but would have loved to see a more faithful adaptation of the novel.
