The movie starts rough, but gets better and gets really good in the end! The contrast of the hippy musician character vs. the businessman and how each their own point of view and neither is better or wrong. It's really that, more than a love story!

I found this film through Anovsky's Mother. This film has inspired some aspects of Mother. The simplicity which is common to Bunuel's films shows itself here. The concept is also haunting and without having heard of it, you can relate to it or at least feel it.

General Magic is a moving story of people with ultimate motivation and dedication facing adversity. Juxtaposing characters now and in the 90s gave the film a bigger than life effect.
