+The fighting system is good and unique to each character.
+There are great unique story modes for each character
+The Libra of souls mode adds extra gameplay.
+Character creation is even more aesthetically pleasing than previous iterations.
-The offline game still feels a bit shallow, especially when compared to Soul Calibur 4 and it's Tower mode.
-The arcade mode is weak. No routes, and no real rewards for completing a run. It doesn't feel worth the time to play this mode.
-There is a ton of loading screens. They aren't very long, only about 10 seconds each, but they are plentiful. When you defeat a character and their teammate comes in their is a loading screen.
-Minor greivance, but you can't zoom into the pictures of the gallery. So it's harder to study the art and design of each character and background.
-Character creation is entirely aesthetic. Unlike SC4 where armours and items had different effects and you could create custom characters with wildly ranging stats and combat effects.
Summary: it is a technically and design wise pleasing game. And it's gameplay does not feel as empty as Soul Calibur 6 did.
However it is still missing that spark that encourages replay. Character Creation would be greatly improved by actually giving armour effects.
The Libra of Souls mode is a great addition yet is not as fun and easy to play as the Tower of Souls in SC4. There's just too much text and loading.
A better showing than SC 6 but not the most fun and replayable it could be.
