The British Actress, Jodie Turner-Smith was miscast for this movie, and her character was unbelievable as a Lt. Commander Navy Seal. There are no female Navy Seals. This was forced political correctness and diversity. I wanted my 1 hour and 45 minutes back after watching this awful movie. Michael B. Jordan was a big disappointment in this movie because I admire him. Please don't waste your time watching this garbage.

I came across the movie 'Life Like' by accident looking up Steven Strait's bio of movies after watching 'The Covenant' last night. I first heard of Steven Strait in 2006 when he did the movie, 'The Covenant'. He is very attractive, but his acting is subpar. However, I wanted to see sexy Steven Strait nude in this movie, 'Life Like' and I purchased it as an Amazon Prime member. I was interested in seeing the male attraction between Henry and James. I wished the film would have focused more on Henry and James sexual attraction and growth. I hated the character Sophie. She was too needy and demanding of James. I was disappointed at the ending with Henry killing himself after finding out he was human. I would like to see Steven Strait in more big screen movies like his fellow 'Covenant' co-star Sebastian Stan.

Over the years, I have heard so many people discuss Downton Abbey. I heard it was a British series seen on American PBS stations. As an Amazon Prime member, I decided to watch binge watch this series last week and I am up to Season 5 already. During the coronavirus pandemic and the stay at home order in the Nation's Capitol, I have been staying up until 5 a.m. in the mornings binge watching this series. Dame Maggie Smith aka Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham is my favorite character. However, there are so many characters in this series and their names are hard to remember. The actress playing Lady Mary is not right for the part. She's too skinny and she doesn't have a commanding presence to be an aristocrat. Although this is a dramatic series, it has a lot of comedic scenes, and especially between Isobel Crawley and Violet Crawley. They constantly came for each other. As an U.S. citizen, I couldn't imagine living a life style of late night parties, dressing up in formal wear every night for dinner, and not having a care in the world. The British nobility is the peerage of the United Kingdom. The nobility of its four constituent home nations has played a major role in shaping the history of the United Kingdom, although now they retain only the rights to stand for election to the House of Lords, dining rights there, position in the formal order of precedence, the right to certain titles, and the right to an audience (a private meeting) with the monarch. Still, more than a third of British land is in the hands of aristocrats and traditional landed gentry. This life style is not for me.

I started off enjoying the Supernatural aspect of this series. However, it has become boring and uninteresting. The time period and the Spanish music is not correct for this time period and with Mexicans. Some scenes shot in Los Angles looks like modern day 2020 Los Angeles. Mexican Americans during this time period wasn't listening to Salsa dance music. Salsa is a popular Afro Cuban music shared by other Caribbean Hispanics from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The late great Afro Cuban Celia Cruz was the Queen of Salsa. Also segregation existed during this time period. Why is it that Mexicans with brown skin were allowed to mix and mingle with white Americans during this time period in this series and black Americans were not? The 2 supernatural characters appear to be both Demons or evil. Nathan Lane was miscast for the part at the lead Detective. When I look at him, I still see his Drag Queen character from 'Birdcage'. LOL Daniel Zovatto also was miscast as a Mexican American Detective. Jay Hernandez or Nicholas Gonzalez should have been cast as the Mexican American Detective because both would have been more believable. They both are Mexican American actors. I figured they would have a gay or lesbian character in this series because that's the thing on television. The L.A. City Councilman is a closet homosexual cruising gay hangouts. I will continue to watch episode 3 on Verizon Fios On Demand. After watching this episode, I most likely will be done watching this awful series.
