I absolutely love the Jennings books and this one is no exception. I love the way Jennings is unable to connect cause and effect when he tries to stay on top of accidents mishaps and disasters . The scene where he falls into the ditch is an example of this . Later on he is in trouble in relation to an invasion of old ladies in response to an invitation for old stuff and bargain related goods .But this in itself results in the school gaining a new cook after weeks of eating canned food . And the issue of the lost property cupboard.Jennings Of Course!(1964) is hilarious and with many examples of how fate when it goes wrong can turn into situations that save the day . Anthony Buckeridge has gifted us with another Jennings book.

I love Crazy Rich Asians. For me it is about the essence of relationships when Nick (Henry Golding)says to Rachel (Constance Wu)"I love who I am when I am with you". Rachel handles Nick's mother's accusations with dignity and insight and despite her occasional faux pas and having to deal with jealousy from others with regard to her relationship with Nick she navigates her way around upper class Singapore society with confidence. I enjoyed the gay element of this film with Filipino actor Nico Santos as flamboyant Oliver.
