Standard slasher with jump scares and exposition and a denunciation finale of the main villain. The differentiator is the supernatural creatures from the tarot cards coming alive to do the slashing.

Dull espionage movie with TV production standard action. An example is the car to car shootout scene with the vehicles bumper to bumper but no hits. The recent Bricklayer with the same actor is more worth your while.

A lot of time wasted focused on unlikeable characters with very little attention on the spider other than it’s from outer space.

An engaging yarn that tells it's hokum story well. Don't know how it compares to Godzilla minus 1 as I haven't seen that but this is a spectacle movie like the Transformer series (thankfully not too loud and bombastic). I feel however that the threat represented by Ice Godzilla+Orang Utan Kong is not convincing enough to trigger the events that teamed up Godzilla with Kong+Mothra+baby Utan Kong. No end credit scenes so save your time.

Excellent script, unimaginative execution. For a somewhat supernatural story, there's too much rationality and exposition that tries to explain rather than show.

I find the main characters unsympathetic ones. The boy took a blanket out from the bag and dropped the insulin unknowingly causing the father to return to the car to retrieve it and this led to the boy being exposed to the military as having an illness which disqualified the family from shelter. The father (Gerald Butler) decided to exit the plane at the last minute causing it to explode due to the unfolding events outside. Finally they could have caused the last plane they were on to crash due to overloading, possibly killing everyone on board instead of just the pilots. And let's not forget what happened to the truck. And I thought we'll again see the neighbourhood girl that they couldn't bring along later in the film but nope, their fate is uncertain

Overly long in 6 well paced chapters. The story don't have much fillings to it but it's a sit back and journey along kind of movie.

In selecting a comedy movie to watch, take look at the runtime, do believe that a good comedy will run for 2 hours and 18 minutes? This movie have forgotten that it's supposed to be a comedy and the last 45 minutes was filler-ed with heavy drama. Mark Lee seem to be doing a lot of these "heavy acting" in Jack Neo movies these days. A boring disappointment at the end.

At 1hour 45 minutes, this is MCU shortest film and it's like a drink that goes down smoothly, mainly due to the pleasant all female leads, even the previously unlikeable Brie Larson. It has plot conveniences and a weak story and has little consequences to the multiverse saga and even managed to find justification for a musical number but at least they trim the movie runtime down to bearable level. No post-credit scene but a mid-credit one which confirms a character from an organisation formerly known as Twitter. The actor is credited as playing in the scene but I was convinced I was looking at a CGI version.

Best thing about this movie is Benedict Cumberbatch turn as a non-binary model, it's disconcerting how much he looks the part!
