More enjoyable than expected. It begins with the protagonist contemplating ending it all at a beauty spot who meets someone who tries to persuade her not to jump. From that moment onwards I found it an fun ride all the way to the end.

The cliqued troupes of Scotland and Scottish people were cringe worthy and Brooke Shields was so wooden I felt genuinely embarrassed for her. This is one hour and thirty nine minutes I'd rather spend sticking pins in my eyes.

Entertaining and funny with some threatening scary bits but thankfully free of the torture scenes some horror focus on. I deducted a star as it isn't the most original plot but I'd recommend it if you are looking for a low budget quirky film that's really entertaining.

A visually very stylish series with a number of terrific performances. Some unusual, blood soaked and inventive plotlines but not for those of a sensitive disposition.

Cary Grant & Myrna Loy play well off middle class New York urbanites who decide to up sticks from their cramped flat and move to a large country home in rural Connecticut. They ignore everyone's advice to buy a rundown property and then ignore everyone's advice on the design for a new one when they have to knock it down. They are portrayed as a smart savvy couple so I found it too difficult to believe they would make so many exceptionally stupid decisions. The most entertaining part of the film was the suggestion that Mrs Blandings was having an affair with their old friend and adviser. It improves marginally in the last 10 minutes but not enough to recommend watching it. I enjoy almost everything I have seen Cary Grant in but even his presence throughout couldn't lift this film from being dull and a sad waste of good actors.
