The acting was great all around. Lex Luthor was truly a villain. The story keeps a nice pace and it was overall a very satisfying watch.

The characters genuinely make no sense. It feels someone like a gratuitous fan fiction.

This show feels uniquely organic from the interactions with the kids to the struggles of the teacher. I think it's a great show for showcasing empathy to an audience that can hold different perspectives.

It’s not “anti-man”. It’s a funny para-reality in a fictitious setting. The rules are different there.

This has as much story and intrigue as Witcher III, but I think people will overlook the writing due to the mechanics. It’s frustratingly buggy, but I think most people got into Witcher for the writing, so I judged this off the plethora of heady, conceptual gigs and side quests. It’s got a hint of that Dark Souls “subtle story telling”, but you’re unlikely to find it unless you’ve progressed enough through the main quest to unlock at minimum the romance archs.

They stay faithful to the original material and add in the flavor the actors bring it. The series was successful and the actors in my opinion did great. Since this is at the heels of game of thrones, if I had to compare I’d say you need more seasons of Witcher to know for sure obviously, but I didn’t like game of thrones until season 3 really. Any kind of opera of sorts will have that annoying stiffness that comes with expository information, so adjusting for that, I think this show has promise to be massive if they simply maintain their current operations.
