This has as much story and intrigue as Witcher III, but I think people will overlook the writing due to the mechanics. It’s frustratingly buggy, but I think most people got into Witcher for the writing, so I judged this off the plethora of heady, conceptual gigs and side quests.
It’s got a hint of that Dark Souls “subtle story telling”, but you’re unlikely to find it unless you’ve progressed enough through the main quest to unlock at minimum the romance archs.
