Really fantastic so far, you may notice all of the 1-star self reports in the google reviews. Don't listen to them, just because they represent a little bit of everything doesn't make it a bad show folks. Just because you don't resonate with the character doesn't mean it is attacking your world view.
You're welcome to critique the acting, but the people saying the characters are unlikable are just people who completely missed the point (or they have a personal gripe and that's fair). These characters are wonderfully written in my opinion and all have deep burdens that clearly affect them daily, and within just 3 episodes we've seen tons of development and setup for each character's upbringing.
The gore and shock value is as wonderful as it was in 'The Boys', and I love it, same mortal kombat finisher vibes as before but with different characters. Somehow so close, and so far from our cast from 'The Boys'. Looking forward to watching more.
If I had one critique, it might be the odd delivery of some lines, but once the actors/characters have time to develop within their roles I think that will get better. Oh, and yeah there's been people saying it has a 'teen drama' vibe, but to me it feels more like an 'early adult drama' which is exactly what it is.
