This movie could be a funny action horror comedy if it had the slightest sense of self-awareness. The "twist" in the third act of the movie is clichéd and lacks any sort of imagination or creativity. The amount of times this movie asks you to "just go with it" is ridiculous and just downright lazy. The acting is stiff, the dialogue feels like is was generated by an A.I. created in 1990 and the effects are awful CG with minimal makeup work. Malignant is not a "so bad its good" movie; its just boring and forgettable. 1 star for the goofy Kung Fu scenes...
