Disappointing and confusing. I was excited to see this one, and despite some logical inconsistencies I really liked the first one. But this one manages to be incredibly cliche and even offensive in its return to the old picture of the pretty princess and her handsome prince being the earthly representatives and goodness and light. Meanwhile they’ve weirdly mixed this pretty princessland with a bunch of game-of-thrones, grimey, underground living fairy savages who stage a completely stupid uprising against the evil queen, who has rounded up all the good moor-folk into a gas chamber for extermination? And an hour after after this massive amount of death there is suddenly a happy wedding between the two beautiful princessy people. Who the heck is this movie for? Not children, obviously, but certainly not intelligent adults, either. Completely missed the boat on this one.
