The 1960 version of "The Time Machine" is the best. Don't bother with any of the recent remakes like the 2002 version. They focus on special effects but don't cut it in terms of communicating the fundamental message of the original story which is - what happens to a society when it becomes totally dependent on 'others' for its survival.
