Put another film in the win column of The Coen Bros. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs balances dark humor with stark brutality in a smooth and oddly accessible way. We don’t feel at home here in the Wild West, but we’ve certainly visited, and our vacation was intense, funny, gorgeously shot, and full of all the quirky performances we’ve come to expect.
