So this was a let down to me. Aside from the fact they portrayed oil as this monstrosity that has no hopes to change (which is ridiculous, technology has improved in extracting and using the stuff a ton since its initial debut in the early 1900's) the story was not very captivating. Emma was hardly in it towards the end. And the stereotypes were very evident. Both the oil tycoon and the hippy-ish ones.
Positive notes: the family theme was good; they didn't portray the dad as dumb. And the art style was good. Unfortunately this isn't enough to save it in my opinion.
