Grandad Athlete

Score 0.5 out of 10 I didn't read any reviews prior to seeing this film but I have read quite a few since. I have almost convinced myself that the reviews must be have been done by those invested in the film. Was this made for the critics or cinema goers? I think that we are all looking for an alternative to the "slasher" or "film everything in the dark and make you jump" style horror movies but Midsommer was not the answer for me. There's no doubt that the actors were all very good, much the same as those in Hereditary but this movie was just way too slow and boring. Sure there is a little gore that fits the story quite well rather than being added for the sake of shocking the audience but so what. The whole thing left me flat and I honestly couldn't believe the high critic scores. Seriously, go and see something else, anything else! Probably one of the most pointless and dull movies that I have ever seen.
