Great cast with an interesting plot. Or should I say, plots. Two seasons may be enough, but I wish "they" would consider a third. Cranston, of course, is a master actor, but here the other characters were terrific. The atmosphere of New Orleans was like another character. Really like the series. Too bad the critics didn't take to Season 2 which I think was even better than the first!

Weird? Yes. Violent? Yes. Funny at times? Yes. Fun to watch? Yes.

Have enjoyed this series from the opening gun, so to speak. A modern Western about trying to preserve just that, the West. Well, not exactly: rather, a wealthy white man's version in a time of urban tumult, feminism (a good thing) and income disparities. Holy-moly! Yet, unless you are a socialist, I almost guarantee you will like the storyline--kudos to writer/player Taylor Sheridan; the WHOLE cast, especially Kelly Reilly--a full-fledged female, yes female, prominent cast member; and the "secondary" characters--who are first-rate. My son lived 12 years in Missoula & Big Fork, Montana--marrying a Great Falls girl--and until he and his family moved back East, we enjoyed visits to the Big Sky with its incredible panoramas and people. Although there is that adage that there are only two seasons in Montana, you will want to binge-watch all THREE seasons of this series. Don't hurry; it may disappear too soon. But good news: a fourth season has been announced. I can't wait to see what will happen on the Dutton Wild West, paradise/purgatory ranch, "Yellowstone."

This movie deserves a much better rating than a C- it got from one critic. Having just seen it just a half-hour ago, I think Soto and Laboeuf both held their own in a credible plot. The second helf teemed with violence of the most brutal kind, but if Ayer grew up in east LA, maybe he can be the judge of happenings there. I DO think that a very short flashback of David helping out the leader of the Bloods would have given more credence to the ensuing vengeful mayhem. Revenge is NOT sweet—and I almost think David’s imprisoned father (an unrecognizable Jimmy Smits) set into motion the return of monstrous Canejo from Jalisco. Maybe not, but the ending left much open for a sequel! If the reviews haven't killed it off like...well, no disclosures here.

Timely, what with the Corona virus spreading from China (2020). No car chases or shoot-em-ups, but gives a tense rendering of viruses potentially more deadly than world wars. Contagion, the new terror...
