Heckin Bucky

You know that thing they say about a successful story having likable or relatable characters? Well this story fails to make me like the characters. The acting is horrendous, especially the stilted dialogue of the main character speaking on the phone at the beginning of the film. Why is there this big poetic narration when NOTHING ever happens for one and for two . . . Nothing makes the audience care at all about the main character? She's just so unlikable. Pretty thing? Not at all (and not by physical means). Is she 40 or 25? What era is she from? Who is THAT scared of a pretty victorian ghost? I'm glad she died.

It's engrossing enough. The acting is solid. I feel, however, that there's not enough there to make one actually care for the characters. You're presented with a decent plotline and get these scenes which could have been absolutely heart wrenching if they'd have given a little more.
