“Longlegs”, unfortunately, was very disappointing. There’s a difference between “slow-burn” and boring. And Nick Cage simply cannot be viewed as frightening. Every scene with the guy is inadvertently comical. The movie overall was not at all scary, apart from 4-5 cheap jump scares due to quick cuts or sudden loud noises. I had high hopes due to the marketing, but unfortunately, the “Silence of the Lambs” comparisons were completely overblown. Though it was enjoyable, I probably wouldn’t watch it again.
