I find it ironic that the ones giving it 1 star are Israelis or Israeli supporters that use antisemitism as an excuse to downgrade this marvelous movie, it is transparent that Israel took over Palestine in 1948 through the British empire and have been committing ethnic cleansing along with violating human rights ever since, let’s not be bigots right now because Palestinians are the oppressed while you are the oppressor.

such an intriguing book, eventhough the apparent plot that the husband is controlling was quite obvious from the start what made the book so hooking and captivated me that I finished it in two days was the following: - I loved how it was written in first person (through the wife’s perspective) - I loved how it would transition from the present to the past - I adored the writers thoughts and how things were laid out. Overall one of my only 5 star books I’ve read

To be honest anyone who doesn’t give this movie a 4 or 5 stars & says that it sucks genuinely hasn’t understood the point nor the in-depth purpose of the movie. The movie is a masterpiece as it shows the drastic change of the protagonist where she loses her sanity at the end. I was also a big fan of the many foreshadowing situations which I’ve picked up on. Although the commune the group arrived in Sweden was quite bizzare it does make sense how such an absurd group & one of the characters were able to brainwash all the others because if they weren’t so strange it wouldn’t make sense.
