I can only speak from my personal experience of watching this incredibly thought provoking series. This is not your regular horror film. A lot of psychological work went into the making of this that puts horror at a whole new level. It's a pure MASTERPIECE in my opinion and a tough act to follow. I believe it has raised the standards in film making and will challenge others to pursue higher levels of entertainment that leaves the viewer changed somehow for the better. It will, like gravity, pull you into the story where you become not just a viewer but an observer who wants to help this family. It takes you on a journey of family experiences that weaves back in forth through time unlike anything I have ever seen before. I think every person watching this will get a different experience depending on what life's journey you have been on. You can relate to certain family struggles that reaches deep into your core of your being. The characters are so richly portrayed that in human nature you just want to care for them in all their different struggles. The actors, writing and directing were brilliantly done! I'm speaking directly to the actors for a second: ( I'm not sure how well you realize the impact you left us with by your lines you delivered. I believe I can relate to just about each character including the children. We all been there, at least I can, speaking for myself. There is so many favorite lines in this series that hit me like a ton of bricks. Here is only a short version of a few lines. Young Nell " None of you could see me" Theodora " I couldn't feel anything" Luke "She saved me" Nell "I loved you completely, and you loved me the same. That's all. The rest is confetti.") now back to the reader * If you have lost a loved one in the past; someone you truly miss. All the actors were perfectly cast and did an amazing job! Thank you for being a part of this incredible production! Kudos to all of you!) Now back to the reader, If it did not leave an impact like it did to me then watch it a second time. I watched it twice since it does go pretty deep in some of the content and character development. What makes this so brilliant is that all the ghost pretty much has a purpose and a reason for being there. The haunts have a purpose unlike anything else I've seen. My applause goes out to entire staff, crew, writers, etc. etc. for being a part of this as I know it was challenging to make in all aspects of production. Especially Episode 6 of the continuous shot!! Mind blowing that they did this incredibly! I do hope they have a season 3 at some point with same main actors! One last thing, its a horror film but if you invest in the characters it will bring you to tears in some spots as it did to me. Never cried over a horror film before but this one I did ! Tore my heart into tiny pieces but put it back together again nicely! Thank you!
