If you're aiming for story, avoid this game. Halo 5 contains the poorest written campaign in the entire Franchise. Gameplay is smooth and can be fun, but if you are looking for a "true Halo experience", you won't find it here unfortunately. With their addition of aim down sights and the wide expansion on Halo 4's controversial options for mobility, the game feels uninspired and no longer shares many of the distinct qualities that were notoriously loved by many in older games such as Halo 3 and Halo Reach.

A game that failed to live up to the expectations of its predecessors along with a strange and unappealing art style change. It is not necessarily a bad game, however I would never recommend this game to someone new to Halo.
