4.5/5 You will love it or hate it but you will not remain unmoved by this overwhelmingly dark trip into Gotham which many will recognize as their own society. Joaquin Phoenix does not impersonate the Joker, he is the Joker. Incredible performance of the actor in one of the most difficult roles to play. I will not try to compare him to Jack or Heather's performances as they are deeply different in many ways yet equally powerful. This movie is not another piece of the batman universe, it has become its cornerstone.
