ꜱᴇʀɪᴇꜱ ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡ: (Spoiler Free) 𝔸𝕥𝕪𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝 Atypical is a series that portrays the story of a 18 y/o boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Though the topic is intense but, the whole show is presented in a very decent and light manner. The story portrays the day to day life struggles and journey of a boy, who is different from neurotypicals ( the term he and his mom use to refer normal people) and is dealing with life transitions while learning to become independent. Sam Gardner; a young adult, who couldn't hang out with people normally, who couldn't go to parties or engage in routine class activities, not because he is dull but, because he is way to sensitive to crowds and noices that he has to wear noice cancellation headphones all the time. Despite all this struggle he is extraordinary when it comes to research, and is trying to do his best going through his most sensitive years of life. The story not just focus on the life of Sam but, the people around him. His parents, his sister, his therapist and his friends. This series beautifully opens up about how each and every person has his own set of problems and how much it is important to be available for people around them while dealing with those problems. Though each character has a whole different story but each of those stories are beautifully intertwined, which makes the plot amazing and keep the viewer hooked.The show focuses on the beautiful feelings of love, care, friendship, heartbreak, deceiving and holding on to what actually matters in life. It gives an insight on how the support of family and friends can help people achieve their goals, no matter how different they are from others or how difficult the things could be for them. It also, shed light on how important it is to accept people as they are and provide ease for them rather then creating trouble or considering them lesser in any way. It's one of the most beautiful show as it gives you a sense of empathy for others and a motivation to do anything to achieve your goals and for the people you love. Highly recommended!!!

So, I'm not a fan of Pakistani cinema but had this one on my list for quite sometime. Well obviously Fawwad Khan was a reason enough and then all the hype in the initial few days of the release. Anyway to cut it short finally got a chance to watch the movie today. I must say it's one of the best work from lollywood. Different from the commercial cinema we've now, this was indeed a game changer ergo the hype. There is not much to discuss about the storyline as mostly people are aware. It's a remake of 1970's legend Maula Jatt. The movie portrays the story of a boy whose whole tribe including his parents were brutally murdered by the Jatts, being raised by a foster mother with the nightmares of that horrible night, coming as flashbacks Maula grew up to be the strongest of the fighters in his town and finally after 25years of anger and pain he took vengeance against his nemesis Noori, from the Jatt line. Apart from the family revenge the film also reflected upon fighting for justice with courage rather than living a fearful life with cowardice. I also like how they shed light upon the role of women portraying how their birth is still considered shame especially in the rural areas of our country. That touch of women empowerment was a positive point.. The storyline was good but what I found really impressive was the cinematography and effects. The film portrayed some really nice landscapes, music was upto the mark and content of humour was just as much needed. Dialogues were impactful, the screenplay was on point and acting was exceptional. Fawwad Khan( Maula) and Hamza Ali Abbasi (Noori) did complete justice with their roles. I also loved Humaima Malik's (Daaro) acting and Gohar Rasheed as (Maakha)!!!!! What an amazing talented artist we have, he never fails to amaze me with his exceptional acting skills, specially when it comes to playing negative roles. He deserves an applaud for this one too. I didn't find the character of Mahira Khan (Mukkho) much appealing though, even the chemistry of Fawwad and Mahira was missing that spark. On the other hand, Moodi (brother to Maula) was a nice character and well played. The only thing which I found lacking in the movie was a bit of the back story, there could've been a little background. Also, the last fighting scene...They built two really strong characters from the beginning. Both, amazing in their own accord just to make them face eachother for 5mins? Or even less. I believe the whole essence of the movie was that fight between Maula and Noori but it ended up real quick. This could've been a bit better, I mean I got so engaged that I still need more of it may be... All in all a commendable job by the team.
