"Don't let the revolution end before it has a chance to start."

It's not your typical "I'm the protagonist with the power of friendship" anime, and I honestly love it for how metaphorically relatable it is. Characters take time to warm up to strangers, and enjoy a hot meal when a lot of the time we take it for granted. It's worth a watch, you'll either like it or not enjoy it but you'll never know till you try it! Edit: Just one thing to say for those who might find it slow, I can agree with that but animations are works of art, and since it's based off of manga with huge panels of vast landscapes, I love it when the scene sometimes just pans and you can just stare at the details. TL;DR - It's more of an artwork, a lone traveler looking for the key to everything in a desolate landscape.

It's really incredible. And it's always a shame these good anime here and there have such a short episode-span. This didn't even get a 2nd season and it's really heartfelt. Let me put it this way: "A 'modern' soldier ingrained with doctrine finds his way in life because of an accumulated understanding of what it means to be human.". I came for a good time with science fiction themes, I got a heartwarming time in learning the difference between just living, and what existing is really all about.

I don't know whether to laugh or be amazed. The acting is spot on, which makes the movie actually interesting. But the....uh, message, I suppose is a bit extreme. In English Language Arts, we call this a "slippery slope", a logical fallacy used in arguments. One thing leads to another, until something irredeemable happens. It's the same thing with Psychology, coincidental results do not mean they are the cause. That aside, I appreciate the movie for its effort, but ultimately disapprove it for it's logical fallacy.
