I’m a long time MCU fan. I own all the movies on dvd and have been to every opening night premier for the new MCU movies. Even I adored Venom. Don’t hold it to the same standards as the main MCU movies because it is not that. It would be like comparing DC with Marvel. Venom is a real stand alone movie starting it’s own universe. Not every movie has to be littered with some sort of political or social motive in order to be genually fun. It’s good to see some variation in the MCU. I understand what the critics of Venom are saying but it’s unfair to expect the same MCU formula for every movie. That makes for a dull predictable movie. I especially love that there was no mention of Spider man. A constant gripe is that there was no Spider man, but bringing him in would have ruined the whole film. It’s called Venom not Spider-Man 3. If you want a fun and hilarious deviation from the standard super hero movies then Venom is for you. Hardy really shined and his character’s dynamic with Venom was just perfect.
