An interesting premise and some good performances, notably by Peter Dinklage and the very tragically late Anton Yelchin. There are several odd and suspiciously placed negative references to guns and hunting that seem out of place, but the writing tries to connect them to Yelchin's character and an experience he had in the past. In the end though, not a fully realized film or story. It makes connections to events and characters sometimes very loosely and without a lot of believability. But it is entertaining to be sure.
Perhaps an even better film from decades ago that this film seems to vaguely borrow from, "Brainstorm" with the late Natalie Wood, who died before the film was complete, does a much better job of exploring the science fiction of recording human memories and the mysteries there-in.
