One of the most beautiful and heartwarming works of fiction in recent years. It manages to deal with mature topics through the lens of interesting fantasy, in a captivating world that feels original an unique. It presents characters that grow and evolve throughout the series as it emphasizes the values of goodness courage , honesty and loyalty. It is a very refreshing take in a world of dark and grim fantasy. Fundamentally understanding that it isn't the mighty gods or powerful titans that make heroes, but a good hearth and a noble calling, managing to be almost tolkienesque in its motifs. It understands what JRR so beautifully explained with "Strength needs valor first, and then a weapon"

It's... uninteresting character drama masked by a "Military setting" doesn't hold a candle up to the old "Are you tough enough" to say nothing that the audience is beaten over the head with the almost cult status of the SAS/SBS in British media... It's an interesting concept poorly executed with little or nothing to do with the military.
