So first I'll say openly that the poor review is based on the DLC. The New Gods DLC is absolute trash. If the puzzles in the main game were average than some developer decided to get high with the Riddler coming up with some of these convoluted puzzles. The vast majority didn't come into play in the base game. Additionally it's legit all puzzle dungeons. Minimal combat. It's grueling and horrible. DO NOT BUY IT! If you don't plan to buy that then the game is somewhat more enjoyable. The story can be fun, though predictable, but being set in the Greek mythos makes is engaging. The humor is a hammy bit of fun, however the voice acting is meh at best. I found soaring around on the various wings enjoyable and was really sold me to try it. However I use the word "soar" lightly as you're basically gliding so be patient if you're trying to scale somewhere high. That arguably became one of my most dreaded things about the game and I would deliberately explore from high to low to not have to navigate climbing which is painfully slow and inefficient. An added annoyance to the base game is that basically all the non-story quests are pointless. You don't get experience or items, just extra filler info for whatever character assigned the quest. If you're like me and a completionist gamer I'd avoid this game unless you want to pull your hair out for hours trying to unlock everything.
