This series felt like something impossible, a utopia that stayed a utopia, sure there were bad things (very bad things), but it didn't destroy its utopianess Also the words on the back of the book I thought they were meaningful, but now I hate them.

I read a lot of reviews before writing this. People complaining about not getting to know characters, how this would have been better as a series. one lady mad that female rapists and corrupt politicians exist and that they are equally as bad as male versions. But I really liked this book it archived what it set out to do and got people's noggins rockin. Some parts are uncomfortable, some parts are funny, sometimes I wanted to reach in and give a character a hug, or a talkin to. What I liked most is the statement the book makes, that humans will be violent humans no matter the gender in charge.

It's a fine book, though I got irritated at the fact that only meg seemed to constantly respect the passing of Jason. Apollo straight up pissed me off when he made jokes about it.
