I liked this way more than I thought I would after accepting an invitation to go with a friend whose grandaughter worked on the art team for this project. It ended up being strangely mesmerizing, with a ton of quick shot illusions and quotes from both modern NY and ancient Rome. Much of the political tilts and quotes were predictable and lame, but still the action moved quickly and I was impressed with the CGI. One of the funniest things I can't forget is a 2-second shot of a spoof of a Time Magazine cover with the title "TEMPUS". Forgive me, I was a language major. Other references from other directors made me chuckle, I saw some Fellini like shots (Satyricon), a bit of 2001, and even a bit of Minority Report.
I saw it on the big screen with only 3 people in the audience (it was mid-day). If you are into vanity projects that are interesting to movie buffs, go see it soon as won't last in theaters.
