I really enjoyed this. I acting was superb and the battle scenes had my heart racing. I see some negative comments up above about this not being historically accurate... I think those comments miss the point. Before watching this, I knew nothing about the Ottoman Empire or their crusade on Constantinople... and now I am so intrigued by this series that I am researching it more. The acting by the man who played Mehmed II is really incredible, and I found it thoroughly entertaining. Such an emotional and engaging story and I personally did not find it to be biased. I got the feeling that one empire's time is ending and another is beginning, and that is the only way. The historians explain quite a bit to give context to each side of the story. I recommend this. -- oh, and also I saw someone saying that they had trouble understanding the actors so they had to try to watch it English subtitles. To that, I say...if you're doing this correctly then you should ALWAYS be watching with subtitles because it's not possible to hear all of the dialogue over the crunching of my chips/snacks :) at least, for me
