Honestly? I love horror and gore and psychological thrillers and just about every genre for movies. This movie was like a student film with a budget it was not as deep as people think. It romanticized mental illness (IMO). The camera angles, quick scene switching, drone shots and color balancing looked like something out of a local college indie festival. As a therapist, I can say the movie is NOT as psychologically “deep” as everyone likes to make it out to be. It’s alright plot wise but I didn’t particularly like any of the main characters so I didn’t really get attached. I found myself being annoyed by the main protagonist and her ,will-they-won’t-they break up, frat boy boyfriend. All in all? It was okay but I definitely wouldn’t pay for it or watch it again.
