Okay, I'm going to get this out the way now. I like this book. I dig the romance, can't stop reading the steamy sex scenes and live for Rhysand. I adore Sarah J Maas. I read her Crescent City first, then her Throne of Glass series and I cried while reading all of them (tears of joy and sadness). However, that being said, I'll only give this book 3 stars. I don't know if it's because I've read her other two series first, but this just didn't hit it for me. It's a dumbed down version of the other two books, even though Crescent City was released after. I wanna like it, I do, but the story is just a bit stupid. However, I will be reading the next in the series as the characters are SO good. The small, emotional moments are definitely Maas's strong point.
