Loved this film! It brought up some great themes- especially the issues of technology and control in culture. Evelyn Deavor, the villain and the real person behind Screenslaver tries to enslave the public in order to “free” them from the possible control of the superheroes. It’s interesting how both the villain and the superheroes felt they went above the law in order to secure the good of the people. Both parties felt that they were in the right for their actions- to protect the public. Viewers are led to side with the superheroes in this case, showing that everyone has deeper moral values that are not just anchored to whether the law is being broken or not. But unless our values are anchored to something permanent that goes beyond cultural values, how are we to know who is in the right for breaking the law? Great themes and well developed!
