This series is a collossal failure on every level. It takes a special skill to take one of the most unique and interesting sci-fi stories ever written and make it just another violent, cliché sci-fi bore fest that veers so far off the original storiy as to be barely recognizable. It makes Denis Villeneuve's adapation of Dune all the more impressive as it manages to keep the essence of every character and deliver a changed story (mostly by omission which is unavoidable) that sticks very closely to the original material nonetheless. And it was deemed an equally unfilmable series of books. I just finished episodes 5 and 6 of the Foundation series and I was near screaming at my TV the whole way. How could David Goyer think replacing the actual Foundation story which such insipid plot lines that are pure fabrication for 2 entire episodes was a good idea? I don't know but he failed miserably here. What a waste of good actors and Apple's money...
