SPOILERS!!! I’m not even done playing the game yet and I can’t understand what all the hate is about. Yeah, Joel got his head beat in. Yeah, it sucks. Sometimes bad things just happen, and you don’t always have to like it as a player of the game. Lest we forget this is the apocalypse?? It’s not some happy joyride game where everything caters to your fan fiction fantasies. Also, yes the game has a lot of cutscenes and some of them are long, but this is a STORY GAME, not an arcade game like Street Fighter or something. Of course there are cutscenes and the voice acting in them is top notch. The animations are top notch. I don’t know what happens later in the game, but what I do know is that the gameplay is smooth, the controls and movement mechanics are not alien, but are improved upon. The attention to detail in the options menu is far more in depth than any other game I’ve played. The graphics are phenomenal, and the combat is intense. I have no complaints, and I believe the bar was exceeded in this game since the first game set the bar initially. The Last Of Us has been my favorite game of all time since I played it for the first time, and it still stands.
